HELP: Which baseball game to get?

I need a little help in picking a good baseball game for XBox. I am a Yankee fan so I will be playing with the Yankees. I had WSB 2K3 and maxed out the sliders and the game was still way too easy. I was 21-3 and the 3 losses were by one run each. I have High Heat now but there is just not enough user control. Even if you are right on a pitch, it just feels like the computer dictates where the ball goes and I hate that. So can someone please help me as to which game to get that combines graphics, gameplay, and a good challenge where I won't go 160-2? How is ASB 2004? How is MVP? How is Inside Pitch? Please, a little feedback.

ASB- has good graphics, and ok gameplay, if ur gonna play a 162 game season there is a strong chance u will get bored Playing every game

WSB- i think has gotten more difficult this year and seems to have the best gameplayas well as pretty good graphics.

MVP- a good game a real good game but if ur looking for in depth franchise mode this isnt ur game

    i havent played inside pitch
    hope this helps u out

WSB did get more difficult. Unfortunately, it still isn't difficult enough. Stolen bases are a joke. I can steal second at will with anyone with average speed against any catcher. And what's up with the ridiculous amount of pitches right down the middle? I was playing on legend with very fast pitching and CPU pitching ability at 100 yet I still saw way too many grooved pitches that were tanked for homers. For Pete's Sake, Jason Giambi had 13 homers through 21 games. I was down 12-7 one game in the bottom of the ninth. Magically, the CPU closer walked 4 consecutive batters and then gave up a grand slam. This is not a joke! Absolutely ridiculous!
High Heat is a great game, but I just get the feeling that the user doesn't have enough control with timed hitting. The computer can just rig every hit so that you get a predetermined number of hits. I just want a game that does it right - user control, hit variety, difficulty, graphics, realism! I hear Inside Pitch doesn't have franchise, which is absurd. I hear MVP is easy to hit and easy to win. I hear that the pitches are too fast in ASB and if the pitch is close, you have to swing. So which one is the best and most realistic? I am still leaning towards HH in the end.

Re: HELP: Which baseball game to get?

I have ASB and ASB has the same baserunning problem WSB has, in that stolen bases are TOOO easy. However, there are several hitting modes to choose from and an option to slow the pitch speeds down a little, called "exaggerated hitting". The hitting modes to choose from include:

-Normal - a cursor that you can tilt and have the option to hit for power or for average

-Zone - no cursor, just use the directional buttons on your controller or joystick to hit the ball, no option to hit for power or average

-Easy - no cursor, just swing, you dont have to use any directional buttons or joystick, probably too easy because there's almost no way to strikeout if you time your swing right (which is pretty easy)

-Classic - a cursor, non-tiltable, cannot choose to hit for power or average

Also, there's an option to use a "generated count", in which the count is automatically set before you even throw a pitch. The game goes quicker on this mode and might be too hard for people that strikeout a lot because it sucks to get 0-2 counts when you aren't good at making contact.

I do not use exaggerated pitching because i can handle the normal pitch speeds pretty well. Exaggerated mode slows down every pitch including the fastball while adding more break to breaking balls.

                I hope this helps!

I also am a Yankee fan so I have a Yankees franchise in ASB. Unfortunately, I've become really good at this game and I play really bad teams later on in the year, making my record so far 84-31. Early on in the season I was about 24-12 but as I played more and more, I found myself winning more, especially since I stopped using the Normal cursor (which I described in the previous post) which made me strikeout too much. I'm thinking of returning to Normal hitting but I hate seeing my players lead the league in Ks.

Currently I use Zone hitting and generated count and I've been winning most of my games. However, I know for a fact that I would not be dominating with a team like the Mets or Tigers.

I was going to recommend WSB first, and then HH behind that. I think ASB is terribly unrealistic, but MVP was somewhat fun to play.

I think playing with the Yankees is tough, because every game has them rated very high (in WSB, they're "100" overall). Maybe you could start a Yankees franchise in WSB with fictional players?
Quit making your stupid YouTube videos and start playing the game.
