    Re: Brian Giles Rumors

What I don't get is the instance on getting pitching in return for Giles. Pitching is not a major problem for the Pirates! They have quite a few pitching prospects making their way through the minor leagues. I'd want at LEAST one hitting prospect in return.

Personally, I don't think the Pirates are going to trade Brian Giles. But, I agree, if they do, they need to get some hitting in return.

Dodgers should do the deal Giles is a great player. They need more pop in there lineup and someone to protect Shawn Green. Giving up Perez is a high price along with two other prospects but Giles is worth it IMO.

Yes there are many good pithing prospects in the Pirates system and what they need is hitting. They really really need hitters espically at the higher levels

I don't think he is going to go anywhere. The A's are in desperate need of a shortstop once Tejada leaves, and the Dodgers would like to keep as many prospects as they can. However, if he does go to the Dodgers, he sure would bring some pop into this batting lineup.

That Brian Giles to Yanks rumor is old. The players that were offered were Brandon Claussen( } and another player, maybe Weaver. Don't think that's going to happen.
