but florida got rapped..they gave up their number one draft pick of 2000 adrian gonzalez who has a boatload of potential and 3 other minor leaguers for Blowbina who flat out stinks.

What positions do these prospects play? I haven't heard much about them. I don't know if I would say Urbina is really that bad. The 4.19 ERA really hurts him, but getting 26 saves with a bad team like Texas is quite an accomplishment.

Adrian is a OF, the other 2 prospects 1 is another OF named Will Smith and then the last guy is a Left Handed Pitcher Ryan Snare

baseball prospectus has him ranked the 24th prospect in baseball... and as a "world-class defensive 1B" comparable to Keith Hernandez. He was hitting .218 or so in 150 or so abats at AAA, but had been hitting .308 in AA. He's only 21.

Will Smith, and Ryan Snare both sound like good prospects... wow... the Rangers have turned a free-agent signing into three excellent looking prospects. What the Hell are the Marlins thinking?..

What is Texas thinking? Texas doesn't need hitting prospects. Yes, Raffy is going to be gone in a little bit, and nobody really knows how long Jaun is going to stay for, but come one. They have A-Rod for the next 8 years, Hank Blalock, Mark Texeria, and Michael Young. So they are going to trade away a decent pitcher for some young hitting prospects, yet they have no pitching? I don't see the logic in this.

Sure, three young pitcher's would do the Rangers more, but an over-paid closer in useless to a team 18 games back... and considering they got Urbina for nothing at the start of the season, this is a good way to stock-pile your team with talent.
