    So you have a hitter, with an admittedly weak glove and no real position...but arguably the most promising hitter in your system...

    What Would Hendry Do?

      Yeah, you gotta play D, even the NL (especially in the NL). Baseball is turning more toward defense being the way to win, football doing the opposite. Games are cyclical.

        Believe me, I hear you guys.

        But surely they can teach the guy to play RF or LF. And he would be decent insurance as a Catcher if Soto flames out. Hell, even Adam Dunn can play 1b.

        That is not to say he wouldn't be a defensive liability. But they have few young and truly reliable bats in that lineup. He might not be one in the end...but who would you peg otherwise?
