    Preston Wilson

YEAR G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS BA OBP SLG OPS
    2003 92 366 62 113 32 1 23 91 33 82 6 5 .309 .368 .590 .958

Wow...What a season he is having...Definatly MVP Numbers and they are almost as good as Delgado's,but people will not give him credit becuase Coors Field is one of the best hitters parks in the history of MLB.

Anyone think he should be mentioned with the likes of Jimmy Edmonds and Andruw Jones.

I do, but that's probably just because the Rockies are my favorite team. He is an all around great player just like Jones and Edmonds. Preston wilson makes a bunch of great catches in the outfield and he has a strong arm, AND hits well on the road.

I think he is maybe a short step below them. He's probably not a 150 RBI guy outside of Coors, more like 100-120, and while he is very good defensivly, Edmonds is fantastic, and many say that Andruw is the best defensive CF since Willie Mays, plus he already has over 200 Home Runs at age 26, and has the potential to be a yearly 40-50 HR guy.

I was at the game last nite and had a GREAT view of Preston taking away that home run. So what does he do for an encore? Wacks one into the stands a section away! And then made another great catch a couple innings later. Chants of "Preston" rang from the stands.

He definitly proved last nite he can play both offense and defense.

If anyone noticed he played for the Marlins for the past 3 years and he wasnt all that amazing...I dont think you can compare him to Delgado...Delgado has done it for 3 years, Wilson is doing it this year and hes doing it in Coors, I'm not trying to discredit Wilsons year, but i dont think you can compare him to Jim Edmonds or Carlos Delgado.
