I hope not. Aluminum bats would take everything out of the HR derby. Forget having to hit the ball square, adjusting to pitches and the ballpark.

The HR Derby is getting pretty bad. I watched parts of the first round and parts of the final (Pujols AB's). BORING........ It's just not fun anymore. I had a better time watching the old guys play softball afterwards.

I think this was a little harder to call because of the stadium. With Fenway, he was going with the "Hello New Hampshire" sort of thing. Colorado was also easy. I don't remember much from Milwaukee or Safeco, but Berman can get a little annoying after a while. I like him in the studio, but not doing the derby.

I think this wasn't a great stadium for a home run derby. Part of the fun of the Home Run Derby is to see where all the players can hit it. Can they hit it over the seats of the green monster, can they reach the upperdeck. Here, a long homerun was just further into the seats.

I am really glad someone else noticed the crappy camera angle they kept using. First of all, I don't think we need an extreme close up of the hitter at all, even as the pitch is coming in. I would prefer a wide angle shot, with the occasional zoom thrown in, but not constantly.

It sucked how the cam would switch to the ball like 2 seconds before, or even as some went into the stands. I love seeing the whole flight of the ball. It just looks prettier and seems to make it more suspenseful. I also like the angle they use from behind the hitter, but a little offset. They only like to show them in the replays of the swing, though.

That one kid that kept trying to rob homers was cracking me up, and I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice, then Giambi finally said something. If I was one of the contestants, I would have probably laughed. I would be really pissed, though, if I was one of the people they pick to be in that $250,000 house contest, and some little punk robs the homer that would have won me a house.

Last year the balls were flying out of Miller Park. I think just about everyone hit one at least 450. This year they didn't go as far but Pujos was amazing and Anderson was consistent.

I am so sick and friggen tired of espn thinking that we "The FAns" want a camera angle of each batter which enable us to count their nasal hairs. I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE EXTREME CLOSE-UPS. I want the camera behind the batter so I can see the swing and the entire flight of the ball that was just crushed!!!.....OK I'm done
