I read in another post that if you edit your pitchers control to D or D-, that will give the CPU better pitches to hit (mistake pitches) and more walks, allowing them to put up a better offense. Try that.

This may sound a little weird and a bit of a reach, but everytime i play on Zone hitting the CPU's offense picks up. I don't know why it just does. I turn of pitching aid and strikezone (strike zone doesn't really dissapear totally though) so this also helps a little too. I played a game with the Phillies (me) vs the Mets(CPU) and the Mets won 13-9. I used just about every releiver in that game too. Most fun game i've had in console baseball in a while.

I'm beginning to wonder if playing on Rookie, the CPU hits like crazy....as if the difficulty level makes your pitchers better or worse. Seems like those with problems are playing on Allstar. Try Rookie...the CPU will mash your pitchers.
