It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

With the Mets losing 8–1 to begin the bottom of the eighth, they rallied back with two outs to tie the game, capping the 10-run inning with Mike Piazza's three run home run to put the Mets up 11–8, giving them the lead and eventually the win.

        Mercy is for the weak!

Plus the players are being paid to play the game, and fans paid to be in the seats for the whole game if they wish to stay.

        Atlanta Braves
        - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

Would be way too PC for me.

Next thing you know they'd want to stop keeping score cause when someone loses it might hurt their feelings. Boo hoo.

Are you going to refund people's money?

You have to play the whole game. It enables teams to get younger guys playing time or challenges managers to use their bullpens correctly and keep guys rested. It would not be fair to other teams if you got to rest guys by just taking a mercy rule game.

Re: The Mercy Rule in MLB?

Why don't we just give every player a trophy at the end of the season while we're at it.

Baseball players are coddled like kids too much as it is, these are grown men being paid millions of dollars. If you are a bad enough team to give up 30 runs in a game you deserve to take the beatdown.
