    tigers interested in trading Maroth?!?

the Tigers better not trade Maroth or Bonderman. Those two are solid future pitchers, they just don't get the run support right now. They babble on and on about youth, and then think about trading a great pitcher. Yeah, I know they need batting help too, but you don't sacrifice a solid pitcher for a bat at this point. The season's gone, why lose young talent?

Anyone else have a viewpoint on this?

There pitching staff has really suprised me this year. When they announced the starting rotation I thought they would have a team ERA of about a million. I know they need bats in the worst way but I hope they do not breakup this young nuclues of starters

Send Maroth my way to the north side of Chicago. Cub fans would gladly send you Juan Cruz and Bobby Hill for Mike Maroth and Dmitri Young.

Yeah, they'd be pretty stupid to trade Maroth. This is a guy you build your future around, a possible 20 game winner in the future.

the tigers won't trade bonderman anytime in the near future, but maroth is very likely to be traded especially with the emergence of guys like ledezma and roney to go along with bonderman and cornejo. the tigers are counting on rob henkel to be in the rotation next year making maroth expendable. heck, if the tigers could get 3 mid- level prospects for brian moehler, i'm sure they will do better when they deal maroth.
