Bypass Create A Player Limit in WSB 2k3 for Ps2?

Okay, I have a question about the CAP limit in WSB 2k3. The instruction manual says that you can create 25 players. But I did something weird the other day. I created P Horacio Ramirez and imported him into my season without knowing that he's already in the game. After I found out, I picked up the real Ramirez who was already in the game and I sent the one I created to the free agent list, then I went to the Created Player list and I deleted Ramirez. What I want to know is does he count as one of my 25 caps? Even though I deleted him he's still in the Free Agent list so it's like I got a free CAP. It would be awesome if you could just create players, import them, and then delete them from the CAP list. I'm just worried that the game might crash if I try to use him or something. Any advice or help here would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've had this idea too. But I have yet to test it out. It seems like it would work though.

No, once someone is imported into the league, they can't be taken out.

Here's how it works: your CAPs are stored in a separate file of their own. This method allows you to import a single created player into multiple modes, franchises, etc. In 2K2 for Dreamcast, it wasn't like that--if you created a player, then brought him into a franchise or season, you'd have to create the player all over if you wanted to use him again somewhere.

When you import a player, you are essentially copying him into one of the 25 available slots in your current league. I'd have to check with the programmers, but I believe that once the slot is used, you never get it back, even when the guy retires.

If you delete a player from your CAP list, his "copy" is still a part of the league(s) you imported him into, since the league is saved separately from the CAP list.
