I never thought of him as a racist. I always knew he was a jerkoff, but after the comments regarding Babe Ruth, I think he is. In case anyone missed it, he said he was more interested in breaking Ruth's 714 then breaking Hank Aaron's all-time 755 mark. Why would anyone be so obsessed with breaking the SECOND-place career home run hitter as opposed to the TOP home run hitter unless they had a personal vendetta against that person? Bonds said that everyone considers Ruth to be the game's best home run hitter and best overall hitter and therefore, when he breaks Ruth's mark, he will have beaten him in homers and slugging %, therefore making him the better player. Now, besides the fact that Ruth did it in WAY less games and also is still ahead of Bonds in almost every other offensive category with the exception of homers and slugging, don't most of you consider Aaron to be the game's best homerun hitter, considering he does hold the record? So why would Bonds only care about beating Ruth and not Aaron? Simple . . . because he is a racist jerkoff. He doesn't care about Aaron because Aaron was an african-american, just like him. Now, I could care less who has the most homers, but for Bonds to want to beat only Ruth based on Ruth's color, that is sad. Perhaps Bonds should be a little nicer to the fans and to the media also, as we are the ones paying his salary.

That may have been true back in the day. However, I don't think it holds true today. The league is divided equally amongst races and there are superstars of both races. I think Ruth is considered the icon because, based on the numbers of both and the # of games they did it in, Ruth's numbers are MUCH better than anyone else's, today or yesterday. Plus, if you want to talk about a sport dominated by a race, doesn't basketball ring a bell? 90% of the league is african-american. Plus, who won the ESPN Sportscentury player of the century? A man by the name of Michael Jordan, who was african-american, and who also, in my opinion, was DEFINITELY the best athlete of the century, if not ever. Again, my wife is african-american and I am white so obviously I am hot racist in any way whatsoever. However, I hate all racists, white or black, and in my opinion, Bonds should be classified as a racist.Comment
