I mean, the guy has hit .290 and .284 in his two seasons with the Twins and is a career .290/.322/.416 hitter. He is by no means an on-base machine, but he has come into camp in better shape this year and I really wouldn't be surprised to see his power numbers come up this year. I'll take that for a guy that will be batting 7TH...

It's no myth that Delmon was one of the absolute worst players in all of baseball the last two years.

Also, that career "hitting" line of his is absolutely atrocious, bringing it up only helps to submarine your argument.

Hey now...at least he makes up for that 738 OPS with some gold glove caliber defense in left.

For the Braves, speaking from recent history... the trade for Mark Teixeira that would wipe out our farm system. Neftali Feliz alone would have been worth it. Other than Feliz though, we traded away Saltalamacchia and Elvis Andrus. Two 'stud' prospects and one solid player for Teixeira... and we didn't even win anything that year.

Delmon backers have an excuse for that too, apparently it's all because of the Dome. And now that they're moving outdoors he's going to show his gold glove caliber defense.

Yeah, after I posted that line, I was thinking....meh, that's not even good why did I put that in there? But I'm just saying that he isn't THAT bad for a 7 hitter. Sure I wish he wouldn't swing at every damn pitch, but I just think he's going to surprise some people this year and I haven't given up on him quite yet. As for his play in the field? I never have and never will defend the misadventure he calls playing left field.

If he doesn't start hitting for more power while keeping that garbage OBP, then I will give in and start calling for a replacement.

As a Mets fan, there are too many moves to list. But right now I say the wonderful 4 year deal to Castillo that basically forces us to keep him at second base.

you regret having the greatest player in your franchise's history on the team. the guy only helped you make a playoff push a few times probably the closest thing to a W.S the cubbies will see as for your pitchers getting injured I.E Mark Prior and Kerry wood you signed Dusty baker as your manager so it is pretty explainable

For the recent Reds I would have to say the Hamilton for Volquez deal

That trade was a win for both sides...I don't see an issue with it.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

For me I would probably say Jeff Bagwell to the Astros for Larry Anderson or David Cone to the Mets for Ed Hern.

I would think paying Jason Schmidt $45 million dollars for 10 starts, 3-6 record, and 6.02 ERA over three years would trump the DeShields/Martinez trade.

I think the Darren Dreifort signing trumps that.
