    Opening Day Festivities

Around what time does everything start? This is my first year going to Opening Day, and I was wondering what time to get to the ballpark.

I'm going to Atlanta vs. Chicago. It starts at 4:10 PM.

This is really up to you... I say get to the ballpark super early so you can tailgate a bit... but if thats not an option they should open the doors 2-3 hours prior to first pitch. Def go early so you can walk around the stadium... get food... etc...

I'm going to Atlanta also. I plan to be there when they open the doors. I've got All You Can Eat Seats and plan to start drinking the beer as soon as they allow it.

I was a little late on getting tickets. I'm probably getting mine from scalpers haha.

Get there early then. But it is Opening Day after all - should be a national holiday . Generally park let you in about 2 hrs before gametime (BP and such). Never been to an OD myself though

Yeah, it should be a national holiday. I'm going to go to my first class because the guy gives assignments every week, set my TiVo, and hope like hell to come back home before the Braves game starts. I'll probably be a few minutes delayed from the live feed.

I've been saying this for years!!

Skipped school every year when I was a kid. And for my 5 years in business, I've taken the day every year to watch the game of baseball.

Actually going to Fenway for my first opening day (err, night), and then home all Monday to watch the games. Can't wait to see Heyward start for the Braves!

I went to opening day at Dodger Stadium back in 2005, it was pretty fun. They even had a mini Lifehouse concert before the game.

Used to love to stay home and watch the games back when ESPN/ESPN2 would have like 5 games on all day, unfortunately now i have to work. Sigh...those were the days.

Thanks guys. I'm so excited to go to my first opening day game.

I was going to get tickets off stubhub, but they were selling 6 dollar tickets for 35. So, I held off and I'm gonna try to find a better deal around the gates somewhere.
