Being a huge White Soxs fan I have enjoyed this up and down rollercoaster of a ride by my beloved White Soxs. This team reminds me of the up and coming movie of "Freddy vs Jason". They keep killing them off and they seem to always come back.
The Soxs started off in not so spectacular fashion being sweepted in their first series by a team that lost 100 games last year. BUT YET they are only 3 games back!
Then May came around and the White Soxs couldn't hit the ball past the pitchers mound. BUT YET they are only 3 games back!
June looked like a dissaster waiting to happen with the Twins, Cubs, Giants, Diamondbacks, Red Soxs and Dodger on the schedule. BUT YET they are only 3 games back!
Then the start of the disappointing results of the early July schedule after making the big trades of Alomar and Everette. After losing 2-3 against the Rays and being swepted by the Tigers could have resulted in us tanking the rest of the season. BUT YET they are only 3 games back!
Then the player had live with the 'FIRE MANUEL' chants and rumors all year. This has to be nerve racking for a player to have to listen to reports almost everyday about his manager being fired. BUT YET they are only 3 games back!
The White Soxs have shown a lot of heart and guts this season. This season is more fun to watch than the 2000 season. The only reason why I say this because that year we roughly had the division in hand throughout the year. This season it's coming down to the wire. I still say the Twins, with a winning streak, can get back into it. But until then it's us and KC.
And the last series of the season it will be a four game set in KC.
