In Their Prime who had the sweeter swing
Even though it is a very tough choice for me i would have to say with out a doubt in my mind that "the kid" had the sweetest swing in baseball. the way he just gracefully waved the bat at the ball amazed me and his home run trot is up there with the greatest105Ken Griffey Junior0%82Manny Rameriez0%1Barry Bonds0%12Albert Pujols0%3Other0%7

Re: In Their Prime who had the sweeter swing
John Olerud in his prime had the closest thing to a Ted Williams swing and that was a thing to behold.
Out of your list though i'd probably say Griffey.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Tony Gwynn.
Barry Bonds said that was the one guy he would pay to see hit a baseball.Comment

Re: In Their Prime who had the sweeter swing
No doubt has to go to Junior Griffey. Tony Gwynn was great also, but IMO Griffey's is the best ever.AUBURN - COWBOYS - RANGERS - INTERComment

Re: In Their Prime who had the sweeter swing
Don Mattingly had a great swing in his prime. So short and compact. But it wasn't much to look at. If you're talking sweet swings, your list starts and ends with Junior. Noone had a sweeter swing than Griffey in the 90s.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Speaking of this poll, we do know baseball was played before the year 2006 don't we?Comment

Re: In Their Prime who had the sweeter swing
Griffey's swing is the prettiest looking, but by far the most fundamentally flawed of the above options. Same would go for a guy like Jim Edmonds. Long swings are not as advantageous as compact swings.
I'd say as a complete package in terms of the look and the fundamentals, Bonds takes the cake. Pujols is a close second, but right-handed hitters for some reason don't look as good when going yard as left-handed hitters do.

Re: In Their Prime who had the sweeter swing
I chose other, though of the one's listed I would say that Griffy Jr.'s was the sweetest.
I thought David Justice had one of the prettiest swings I've seen before his shoulder injury caused him to change it up and add that weird hitch to it.
I would agree that Gwynn's was awesome as well.Comment

Re: In Their Prime who had the sweeter swing
Sweetest swing: Junior, with HM to Olerud.
My favourite home run swing had to be Ryan Klesko's massive uppercut. Not terribly efficient, but man, when he connected, it sure looked impressive.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that.
