I saw him hit real well in a series against the Mets last week at Shea stadium. He had a couple good hits and a big homerun, but everyone hits well against the mets.

He is a free agent at the end of the year and there is know way he would be the fourth outfielder for the Reds next year so it was better to get something for him than nothing.

Re: Jose Guillen traded to the A\'s

I am happy with the move. As much as I would have loved to see Brian Giles in an A's uni, they would have had to give up way too many good prospects to get him. Guillen is much cheaper, and his offensive production this year is actually better than Giles'.

I feel that Aaron Harang will be a solid starter for a long time. He looks like a solid #3 guy. Still, the A's really don't have much need for him with Harden in their rotation, and Justin Duscherer and Joe Blanton on the way in the next couple years.
