I have heard that Vina will be waivered off to LA and LA will waiver a pitcher to STL.

Vina is the starter as long as he is not injured or moved.

If i were the Cardinals i would hang on to Vina,
while Hart is having a good season (he hammered the Mets this past weekend), as someone already pointed out he's due to cool off, we see one of these guys come up every year,
last year it was Mark Ellis the year before it was Frank Menechino, neither one has done much since,
keep Vina at least for the stretch and if they really think Hart is the man then trade Vina in the offseason.

The troule is that Vina is not a good player. Even if Hart cools off, Vina would not be better offensively (just defensively)..

But the biggest problem Vina has is his attitude. He cried all winter because his name kept showing up in the papers linked to possible trades. The thing is, these rumors were coming from other cities because other teams were asking for him in deals.

But, he got all bent out of shape and then started the season trying to hit every single pitch he saw into the upper-deck.

And personally, I just don't like the guy. And I say this knowing his true personality, due to personal knowledge and knowing plenty of people that are around him on an almost daily basis.

I would lose no amount of sleep losing the guy.

vina is too expensive for what he brings to the team IMO he has a team option at the end of the year.. and from what i understand.. after the antics he pulled this winter they arent very interested in pickin it up... they dont NEED a big bat at second base.. tino is gone in one more year.. then albert moves to first and they can go after an outfield bat.
