    Rating Request WSB

    Could anyone explain me what the "strikeout" and "walk" rating means?

    If its a batter rating, then its the propensity to K and the propensity to walk. I've noticed that if you have a higher K rating, you might make contact less often and miss when you swing. I've also noticed that sometimes the computer "checks your swing" as your press the swing button for players with higher "walk" ratings.

    For pitchers, likewise. Low strikeout ratings enables you to get more ground balls and fly balls for outs. I have the Cubs and I had to lower the K ratings by 25% - No more Estes getting 18 K's. HIgh walk ratings, the less the opposing batter swings at strikes, coupled with their "K" or "Walk" rating.
