How come every time I mention Albert Pujols...

everyone always claims that he's on roids? Just because the dude is BIG doesn't mean he's on the juice. If Albert was truly on roids, he would be hitting 80 homers a season at least. Don't people know that he gets tested all time? Why make such a claim when there's no evidence? Haters. The whole argument gets redundant after awhile.

Just tell them to look at pictures from his rookie year. The guys most often brought up as steroids users, like ARod, Bonds, and McGwire, their physiques changed significantly over the years. Albert looks largely the same as he did 10 years ago.

Well I think the injury he had a couple years ago which was a bit of a freak one. I think it was a hamstring injury or something like that made some people question him. It happened out of the blue as well.

I don't know personally, there's always been stories of how he's probably a few years older then his stated date of birth so being on PEDs wouldn't shock me.

Those stories are BS, and have always been BS. They started arising when other Dominican players were under question about their ages. People who want to doubt Pujols looked at his hairline and said "he's older than he says!" There's nothing else to it other than that, and no actual evidence, real or circumstantial, has ever been presented.

Steroids are prevalent in the minor leagues. Just sayin'...

Pujols could be on 'em. Who knows? I'll never accuse him for no good reason, but he isn't exempt from people having thoughts.

He only played one season in the minors though. Not saying that he didn't take them, but if he did they worked rather quickly.

Since he's such an amazing hitter it wouldn't surprise me if he was on performance-enhancers. I really hope he's clean, though.

Pujols being outted some time down the road would be awful.

Taking steroids doesn't make you a good hitter, it's a talent and a skill. Steroids, however, will help you hit more bombs, which is why I think Bonds should be in the Hall of Fame.

Well, I wasn't aware he was being accused so much that you can't even say his name without people mentioning steroids, but every great player, especially power hitters from this era are going to be questioned. It is what it is.

Didn't he have a ligment or something messed up in his elbow and still had an MVP year last year?

I would be truly heartbroken if Albert did indeed use PEDs; he's had such a storied career already and seems like a true class act. I might be more upset than when the stike happened in '94 because it would raise a doubt in my mind whether any athlete is using.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

You don't have to be so defensive. I did say I don't think he's on PEDs.
