Kidding. I honestly don't think he used. It's a shame that the great hitters that broke out at that time will always have questions linked to them.

Hell, this morning I was watching a replay of the Mauer Homecoming on ESPN2 with that douchenozzle Rick Reilly and he even brought it up with Joe. LMAO.

He took something. They've all taken something. Eventually a reporter will come along and do to Pujols what that reporter did to Arod. Then everyone will see another unfortunate truth with this stupid game. The HOF really is gonna be a joke in the future. I disagree that it would be terrible for the game. He's the best hitter and he's jacked, of course the casual fan is gonna call roids.

I believe he is completely clean, I read his SI article 2 years ago (if you haven't, I suggest you look it up on si.com's archieve), but say what you want about him saying what he has to, to look good to the fans and media, but after reading that, I don't think he's ever touch any of that. I just think he's that much more talented than anyone else

There's lot of guys that probably take vitamin supplements, muscle enhancers, etc. like most gym fanatics do. Julius Peppers got a suspension from the NFL for taking a dietary supplement.

The consistency even from his rookie year until now I believe should depress some of the doubts regarding Pujols. Most players don't have such sustained success as injuries or a really huge "breakout" year happens in between. [See: Brett Boone, Ken Caminiti, Barry Bonds, Sammy, McGwire, etc.]

Yeah but McGwire hit 49 HRs in his rookie season. He hit 30 plus HRs in his first 4 seasons. So clearly guys have come into the league juiced.

McGwire wasn't juicing when he came into the league...he came into the league in 1986 and I believe he started juicing around 1988/89.

Then he got injured for a couple of years...comes to St. Louis and hits 2 60+ HR seasons.
