    Mike Stanton

With his rumored call up date taking place sometime early next week, what do you guys think of him? He has tremendous power, in the majors i think his average will be somewhere around .270, and solid defense out in RF, draws a good amount of walk but along with a good amount of K's

Elite prospect. I've seen him play a few times this season. He'll be a star. He hit his 21st HR tonight with Jacksonville.

From what I hear, depending on his plate patience, I think his career will start out similar to Andruw Jones, with a lot of struggles, but a lot of potential, and hopefully he will take that to the level of say Ryan Howard, a low average, a lot of walks and strikeouts, great power and run producing.

Amazing power but hacks away at everything like Mark Reynolds.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

So will he be like Miguel Cabrera, you tune him up to ship him out for hopefully good prospects?
Worked out in Hanley Ramirez deal, but no so much in the Cabrera/Willis deal.

The Marlins are kinda moving out of the whole trading away all their good players idea. They signed Hanley and JJ to contracts, and the GM already expressed interest in resigning hanley to a much larger contract after his expires in 2013.

When the Marlins open up the new stadium in 2 years they will have the luxury of trading player when they want to not because they have to.

Tremendous power, but if he gets figured out and can't adjust, he'll probably be another Nick Swisher.

Yes, because a new stadium will make the city of Miami actually give a damn about baseball.

Part of getting a new stadium for the Marlins is really more about the fact that they will get all 100% of money made. Even if they don't get an increase in attendance they will still make more money by having their own stadium where they get 100% of the money.

They would get an increase in attendance if they moved the stadium more up north in like Palm Beach County or around that, not more south and in a bad part of Miami
