Re: Mike Stanton
Hmm...don't know if I can agree with this. I think the Phils are very good, the Braves are okay, and the Mets I'm not sure. Nats/Marlins are average.
The problem is not one team in the NL East is as good as the Rays/Red Sox/Yankees imo. I think if the Jays were in the NL East, they might win the thing. Yes, the O's are horrible, but there are 3 very good teams and one really good team in the AL East right now."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Re: Mike Stanton
The NL East has a bright future with pretty much every team having young stars with the exception of the Phillies but they have stars just not young.
Stanton 2-5 2B and a 3B 2 rbi's but 3 Ks. Defense continues to look good, has yet to draw a walk but im very happy with the production so far.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Mike Stanton
Right now, the strikeouts won't matter much. He's a rookie and everyone expected that he'd struggle at the plate in the K department. He's mirroring his minor league performance.
As long as he produces a bit and can keep his average within a decent area - let's say the arbitrary .270 - then the Marlins will keep him up.
However, if he does not learn how to take pithes and draw a few walks here or there, his career will come crashing down hard. Power can keep him around for a while, but he'll just end up being Brandon Inge without the talent to play anywhere on the diamond (which is why Inge is seriously still in baseball)."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Sooooo.......
...and I just dropped him in the only league I picked him up in because he was k'ing too much and that H2H league counts K's for batters...suck.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
