I'm glad Delino got drafted so high. He goes to my high school. The dude is a beast. Hope he does well in the league.

This is an amazing day for Irondequoit. I think he's the first player to be drafted from the Rochester area in like 30 years. I played basketball against him the past few years and played against him in baseball a few years ago before I quit. He's not very tall, but he's got great athletic ability. I'd say more, but I don't have time right now. But I am so amazed that he was taken in the first round... I never thought I'd see the day someone from Irondequoit might make it into professional sports.

Best defensive catcher in College Ball, no doubt. Pitchers can throw anything and there is nearly no way it gets past him. I mean, it's jaw-dropping how good he is behind the plate. Could use some work on his throwdowns though. Can call his own game, but usually doesn't, for one coaching reason or another. Offensive wise, he doesn't hit hard at all (well, relatively hard, he had 10 Homers in mostly pitcher's parks but take that with a grain of salt because there was a suspicious amount of Warning Track Power), but he makes solid contact from the right or left....Batted .407 before he hit a rough patch at regionals. I'd be shocked if he's in the minors for more than 2 1/2 years.

He's also a great baserunner and has good speed for a catcher.

                    Very top line.

I'm happy Auburn's Hunter Morris got selected by the Brewers because I'll be able to see him play for the AA Stars one day hopefully. He's also from Huntsville, but I like his quote about that: "I would like to everything I can to not spend too much time in Huntsville," Morris said. "I'd like to get to Milwaukee as soon as I can."

Kid from my school got selected by the Reds, pretty cool to have the opprotunity to play for the hometown team(well, be in their organization right now) if he wants. Although I think I remember him being commited to play at Louisville, don't know if he ever got his grades up or not(heard they were pretty bad).

I really wouldn't be surprised if the Dodgers took him with no intention of signing him at all.

I don't even want to give them the satisfaction of that.

That's probably what happened because of the money situation.
