He is signed through 2012 so he ain't getting released. If the Cubs are willing to eat half of the money, it could get interesting in the next month for his services.

The Mariners did take Milton Bradley off the Cubs hands so maybe Jim Hendry ought to be cal Jack Z to see if he would be interested. Personally, i think if it got that oversized baby and his bloated ego/contract off the roster Lou would be happy with getting Ian Snell and a bag of sunflower seeds in return.

As for the Dodgers giving him a look...they would if the Cubs eat all of his contract and ask for absolutely nothing in return.
