Re: Where should I start?
do any of you know of any sites I could use to learn how to pitch? and how to strengthen my arm? I've looked but all I find are places to buy books.
www.pitching.com has good information and a good message board to ask questions.
As far as strengthing your arm, I would get some rubber tubing and a medicine ball, both come with instructions for different exercises.Comment

Re: Where should I start?
To strengthen my arm for outfield throwing, I took a tennis ball, cut a 1 1/2" slit in it, started filling it up with pennies... now the ball weighs like 4 times as much as a baseball or softball... hehe
It's also fun to toss it to someone and watch their glove drop off their hand when they nonchalantly catch it as though it's going to weigh next to nothing.Comment

Re: Where should I start?
hey roble,
you can get weighted baseballs, they come in a set of six going from 7oz. to 12oz. (an official baseball is 5oz.) Dude, I make 10 throws with each of these working up, then work back down, it's been amazing. I used to have a jelly arm, now i'm throwing frozen ropes all over the field.
peace.Comment

Re: Where should I start?
Oh, I'm sure you can buy them... but with me only playing in "2-day-a-week" softball league, and had a tennis ball, pocketknife and $3.00 in pennies handy... LOL
I'm getting all new equipment this year... do you know if the weighted baseballs come in softballs too? I never ran across those anywhere.Comment
