What needs to be done to make baseball exciting again?

The ratings are the worst that it's ever been. It seems like people are bored or just not into baseball anymore. What do you think needs to be done to revive the sport? Shorten the season? Legalize the use of steroids? Change the rules?

Baseball's probably more exciting than it's ever been at any point since the beginning of the liveball era and despite the draconian stories about sagging attendance numbers/ratings, 2009 marked an all-time high in attendance numbers.

Baseball is still solidly the #2 sport in America.
