Why Mark Cuban Would be Good for Baseball

I'm going to make this short and to the point. Mark Cuban has a certain flair, and charisma to him that baseball has been lacking for quite some time now. And quite frankley baseball needs a character such as him in the game. He would draw some added attention, and publicity as well.

Love him or hate him, there is no denying his passion. He is not one of those uptight owners stuck in the press box wearing a $100,000 suit. He is usually in the crowd wearing the jersey of his team, mingling with the fans. He is a fan first and an owner second, that is why I have always really liked him, most fans out there can relate to him. Especially loved the way he worked for a day at a DQ, after saying the refs couldn't even get a job there. Creative self-imposed punishment, I suppose.

Nevertheless, it baffles me as to why most Rangers fans wanted nothing to do with him. As a Mariners fan I would love for him to be the owner of the M's. And I don't think baseball has heard the last of Mr. Cuban either.

    Thoughts?

Ryan is the same.... sitting in the seats and a fan of the team...

i love cuban but i dont know how crazy i feel about one owner owning 2 teams (even though i know Leonsis does it good) but I feel like one teams success would affect the other's, especially with baseball not having a cap

Even though Skip Bayless is almost always wrong, I think he made a pretty good point that if Cuban took a team like the Pittsburgh Pirates, he could probably turn them back into a very competitive team like they used to be simply because he has the money and desire to go out and field a winning team. I think in the right situation he would be good for baseball
        NFL: Bills
        NBA: Bucks
        MLB: Cubs
        NCAA: Syracuse
        Soccer: USMNT/DC United

If he bought the Pirates or Royals it would be good.
