Re: Brandon Phillips calls out the Cardinals...
If the Reds beat out the Cards it will be because the Reds had such an easy schedule. Against bad teams, the Reds are great. But when playing a good team shown by the Cards sweeping them, they play terrible. Look at their record against these teams.

Dodgers/ 3-3
Giants/ 2-2

It's basically a was as to who has it easier. The Cardinals do have 9 games against the Pirates who they are 5-1 against but the Reds have 9 games against the Brewers who they are 4-1 against.Comment

You must listen to Colin Cowterd too much.
As he was trying to say the same thing on his show 2 days ago.
He was proved to be totally wrong.
The Reds have the 29th hardest schedule this year and the Cards have the 28th, as you can see not much of a difference.
They play all the same teams except the Reds play the Indians and the Cards play the Royals as you know both of them are terrible.
Also saying the Reds beat up on bad teams is just laughable, are you saying if they didnt beat the bad teams they would be better? (Like the Cards are currently doing!!)
Good teams beat bad teams, period. And that is what the Reds have done this year.
So your logic is the Cards are a good team and the Reds are a bad team, yet the Reds are 3 games up on them??? Um ok.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

LOL Yeah, who do the Reds think they are beating up on those bad teams? Good teams aren't suppose to beat bad teams!Last edited by Buckeyes_Doc; 08-19-2010, 10:37 AM.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Brandon Phillips calls out the Cardinals...
No, I'm saying that the majority of the Reds' wins have come against bad teams. 51 out of the Reds 69 wins have come against below .500 teams. That's 74% of their wins. 39 out of the Cards' 65 wins have come against below .500 teams. That's 60% of their wins. That's what I'm saying.MLB: St. Louis Cardinals

Re: Brandon Phillips calls out the Cardinals...
All that says to me is that the Cardinals aren't beating the teams that they should, and it's why they'll probably lose the division. But I didn't need a stat for that, since it's something I've been watching all season.Impact de Montréal
