Re: How many times have you seen that ?

Langston only spent half a season in Montreal and he was in Seattle for a while before he got traded to MTL.

In fact it was the Langston trade that really signaled the early demise for the 'spos as he whined and complained about playing for the Expos and how Montreal wasn't a good city etc etc.

EDIT: There was no Montreal Expos when Jackie Robinson came to the majors tho Montreal did play a huge part in Jackie making it to the majors as he spent one year in the Dodgers triple A club the Montreal Royals and was well recieved. In fact Jackie had a soft spot for that city for the rest of his life.

That's beside the point if he "whined" about being in Montreal. He still was good with them.

Moises Alou, Dave Martinez, Otis Nixon, Tim Raines and Rex Hudler and Ken Hill. See Baseball is or was full of 1 time Expos. If you look hard enough. I think he can find 1 Expo wheather it be in the minors or the majors on a team now.

This is true but my list was mostly guys who started their careers or had the majority of it in Montreal and not guys who just passed through the organization like Nixon, Hudler and Langston.

However you are right every ballclub probably has someone who played for the 'spos or at least was part of their minor league system.

Ok. Mark Langston did pass through Montreal sorta speak he played 1 year.

but Hulder didn't he played 3 years with them and so did Otis. So, they didn't pass through.

                        Here are a couple others:
                        Kirk Rueter(4 Years)
                        Jeff Shaw (3 Years)
Cliff Floyd (4 years and another 1 in 2002)
                        Gabe White(2 Years)
                        Carlos Perez(3 years)
                        Shane Andrews(5 years)
                        Henry Rodriquez(3 years)
                        David Segui(3 years)
                        F.P. Santangelo(4 years)
