Re: I wish Albert would try to Charge Wood..
why in the hell is ALFONSECA still pitching at all? All he has done this season is blow leads. And with all the crap the cubs picked up, you'd think they would go after a solid pen guy, or bring one up from the farm.
Second, tell me again why we didn;t trade Juan "my stuff doesn't get big leaguers out" Cruz for Mike Lowell.

Because the Marlins thought they could stay in the race (and they did) and also because of how you described Cruz..who would trade him for Lowell?
Cubs need to find another bullpen arm for sure...but who is out there that cleared waivers?Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

I don't care what anyone says, but Cruz is going to be a stud. He has the best stuff in the whole organization. The difference is that Juan doesn't know how to pitch. He is still just a hurler and can't keep emotions in check. He keeps getting caught at the wrong time. Prior went down and Cruz made 2 sensational starts. He had a 4 hitter at Houston and pitch exceptionally in the 14 inning marathon against Arizona. He got the boot once Prior came back even though Estes was inconsistent. You can't expect all the Cubs' prospects to mature as quickly as Prior and Zambrano. Just look at Corey Patterson.Comment

Re: I wish Albert would try to Charge Wood..
Steve Stone just made the funniest line ever...
They were talking about when Pujols got hit and how he stared back at Wood. They said that it just grazed him and that it wasn't intentional and Stone says,"When you are the batting leader you should expect inside fastballs and if you doesn't like it you should take up cricket."
It gave me a chuckle.Comment
