When I was stationed on the East Coast in the 2004 playoffs I stayed up until 2 a.m. every night watching those games...everyone in my unit did. We'd stumble into work the next day bleary eyed and you could tell who was up watching the game. It only last a week or so and happens once a year...I love it.

As much as I'd like to blame Selig for every problem on Earth (thanks for the global warming, Bud!), he isn't to blame for the start times. The networks (Fox in this case) are.Impact de Montréal

Re: Selig is a joke with the World Series start times
Fox is to blame for the weird *** start times and length of the comerical breaks. What takes 3 hours to play during the regular season turns in to 4 hours during the playoffs and it shouldn't be that way.MLB: Chicago Cubs
NFL: San Diego Chargers
NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
NBA: Chicago Bulls

Re: Selig is a joke with the World Series start times
This comment really confuses me. I'm not sure if you want the games to start earlier or later."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Selig is a joke with the World Series start times
I think later. East Coasters want the games to start earlier, but the earlier they start the earlier it is on the West Coast. A 7 PM start time means you often miss the first several innings of a game during a weekday."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Re: Selig is a joke with the World Series start times
Well you guys have it easy if you ask me. First pitch will be at about 1am our time, if the game lasts 4hrs that means a finish time of 5am which leaves me with about 1hr of sleep before work...lol. Thank god it only lasts a week!!!
Me at 2am probablyComment

Hawaii has the best timezone.
Went there for our honeymoon, woke up sunday at 10am and my Niners had already lost the game.Originally posted by LonghornAt least, no matter how many years go by, I know I will always have Acid's sister to fall back on.Comment
