                  A poster mentioned Edgar Martinez....Well he used to be a pretty good 3rd baseman for the Mariners. It was just that he accumalated some knee injuries and then there was a really big knee injury that slowed him down considerably and made it nearly impossible for him to an everyday fielder. So he may be unathletic now but he was once pretty good.

                  As far as my choices I'd say Mo Vaughn and Cecil Fielder.

                        No duh... they're fat.

                        I'm talking about people that aren't overweight like that... one guy mentioned Tino Martinez, and that's good... but then again, you don't see many fast 1st basemen. I'm thinkin everyone but 1B, P, and C, and not fat.

                        Plus, athletic does NOT mean not fast, otherwise I would've said Robin Ventura. Athletic is more in terms of being both agile and aggressive.
