    Yankees sign Luis Sojo

Just saw it on the bottom line of ESPN 2.

The Yankees get Sojo once again. I think this is his third stint with the team after being a special instructor to the team during the past month or so. There were rumors going around that he might make a comeback and they turned out to be true.

I think the Yankees signed him because of the recent injury to Derek Jeter (day-to-day with a pulled rib cage muscle). He should provide a good bat off the bench and a much-needed back-up infielder since Enrique Wilson was the lone bench infielder.

Since when has Luis Sojo been a good bat....SHEESH This guy is the definition of a retread. Oh well....

Ah I forgot to mention this, since when is it ok for the Yanks to have a special instructor to the team during the season when a couple or so yrs ago when Buck Martinez had Maury Wills as a base running instructor during the season. Wills wasn't a regular coach but the Yanks complained and the Jays were forced to let Wills go.

    Double standard? I THINK SO!
