    David Ortiz

David Ortiz has to be the most underrated pickup of the year, he hit 2 HRS tonight against the White Sox, one of which turned out to be the game winner,
while he wont get any MVP consideration from the league he has to the Red Sox MVP,

    David Ortiz .293 AVG,25 HRS,84 RBI,

he has really stepped it up in the second half.

    Re: David Ortiz

He also struck out before the second homerun but that is a different story...

Ump was very inconsistent behind the plate tonite..

Oh well...He beat us tonite..although I question the second one..

    Chicago White Sox

Never heard of him, but I have to agree with you. With that kind of performance and to go by unnoticed, defines a player being underrated. He's having a solid year, yet I don't see him on the Newspaper, today was the first day I have seen him on an ESPN program. IMO, there are a lot of underrated players out there.

He was a great pickup for the Sox. I have heard his name a lot since the all-star break. He hit like 5 homeruns in 6 days for a stretch and has been looking really good in the second half.
