Phillies or Marlins, and why ?
I am a Phillies fan to the end, but I REALLY don't know if they can pull it off to come out winning the wild card. It seems like everytime the Marlins win, the Phils win, and when the Marlins lose, the Phillies lose. But the Phillies are on that looong road trip, and we haven't been playing our best bell to say the most. Now the Jose "Wont-Save-Ya" Mesa is no longer the closer, MAYBE we can win a few. But I really think the Marlins can come out on top. What do you guys think ? -Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

I really think the Marlins can win this Wildcard..
The only things that might hurt them are the lack of veteran leadership on that squad, as not many of them have even been to the playoffs, and the absence of Lowell. They have two good offensive sparks at the top of the lineup, in Pierre and Castillo, that can change the momentum of a game in an instant, and have big bats in the middle. The pitching staff is good, giving their team a chance to win the ballgame every night.
The Phillies on the otherhand, are very inconsistant with the bats. You see them put up 15 runs one night, only to be shutout the next. Thome and Abreu are the only two that produce on a day to day basis at the plate, and even they struggle at times. As we all know, Burrell has struggled heavily this year, and the absence of another big bat in the lineup may hurt them right about now.
My prediction: Marlins take the Wildcard Comment

Re: Phillies or Marlins, and why ?
Well we won against the Mets last night , in an 11 inning game.
That was the first time we've won after trailing in 8 innings. Even though they won, it was downright ugly at the end.
Rollins tried to steal 3rd before the pitcher even threw the ballHe knows better than that.
