I don't think he meant as far as closers go. It sounds like he was saying closers in general just have the lightest workload.

Ah, ok. That makes more sense.

tough to argue with that kind of logic.

It's possible, but I'd be far more likely to be against it than on it.
so you're retracting your earlier comment that its a given he won't be the best player in the league?

BTW...best player in the league is extremely subjective.

I hope so to, throw 10 years and 300 mil at him, then enjoy once he breaks down and you have another albatross contract on your hands.

If Pujols doesn't sign with the Cards I hope he breaks the bank for the Cubs.

Not really. I stand by my older comment, because he won't be the best player in the league. Is there a slight chance that it is possible? Maybe. But I'm saying now he won't be the best player in the league in 2016 or 2017. You can quote me on that.

I hope he becomes a free agent, the Dodgers get a new owner, then go after him. A boy can dream can't he?

Albert would be nice but if you are a Dodgers fan a new owner would be the best new addition the team could possibly hope for.

Quibbling over the top 2 or 3 spots isn't really worth the effort though, is it?

Assuming it includes a new GM.

Yeah I don't see it happening before this deadline either. It's going to get crazy in the off season.

I would hope so, the only way Colletti would bring Pujols in was if he was an ex-Giant.

A bigger dream would be if the Marlins held fundraisers to scrounge up $30 million a year for him

I don't see a deal happening, too big of a contract to get done right before spring training
