I sit by the window and wait for Spring."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: What do you do to get ready for baseball?
I also read some of my baseball books (currently finishing Extra Innings Baseball and then it's on to Baseball: An Illustrated Guide-which is actually a companion book to Ken Burns' PBS series).
I also spend way too much time on redsox.com, fangraphs, etc and of course, when The Show comes out, I play it until my eyes stop working
I love it!Comment

My parent say I was down there for a solid hour. It seemed like a minute.
The Last Season was mediocre. Don't get it. Getting The Natural, Bull Durham and Field of Dreams tomorrow.HoosiersPacersPhilliesRavens

Re: What do you do to get ready for baseball?
I watch Field of Dreams, Major League I and II, The Sandlot, 61*, Little Big League, and countless other baseball flicks. I usually do this around the first part of March.
I will also indulge in ridiculous amounts of Show time.Comment
