What do you do to get ready for baseball?

For example, Me. I go on a baseball movie watching frenzy. Watched Fever Pitch last night and Just now am I finishing the Last Season.

I also play unhealthy amounts of the show, but that always happens.

Read Baseball Prospectus, start visiting the Braves forum more, reading reviews and preview articles, watching old clips from last year, watching baseball related stuff (Sandlot, Ken Burns' stuff).....a ton of stuff.

I sit by the window and wait for Spring.

Play the living hell out of the newest edition of The Show.

And buy a new player name/number t-shirt. This year: Greinke.

Usually around this time of the year me and a bunch of friends start to get pickup baseball games going on the weekends, I just got into the Show last year so I'll continue that next year, Living in Jupiter I'll attend a few Marlins spring training games, read up on prospects, potential rosters/lineups
Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, Lightning

I do this as well. My son and I go through our baseball movies (his favorite is The Natural...Mine is a toss up between Field of Dreams and Bull Durham).

I also read some of my baseball books (currently finishing Extra Innings Baseball and then it's on to Baseball: An Illustrated Guide-which is actually a companion book to Ken Burns' PBS series).

I also spend way too much time on redsox.com, fangraphs, etc and of course, when The Show comes out, I play it until my eyes stop working

                I love it!

Ready? I have been ready for 2011 ever since Brian Wilson struck out Ryan Howard.

It seems like yesterday I was sitting on my basement floor, head in hands, kneeled over. Not believing what had just happened.

My parent say I was down there for a solid hour. It seemed like a minute.

The Last Season was mediocre. Don't get it. Getting The Natural, Bull Durham and Field of Dreams tomorrow.

This is what I do as well when I'm not watching basketball.

                          Same here.

I watch Field of Dreams, Major League I and II, The Sandlot, 61*, Little Big League, and countless other baseball flicks. I usually do this around the first part of March.

I will also indulge in ridiculous amounts of Show time.

I start reading previews, watching videos from last year, play The Show, and anticipate another Jays season. This year, I hope they can make it… to third place…
