    He's talking triple crown.

I think it's possible IF the Cards offense doesn't dry up or he doesn't go in a slump. He'd be the first guy in over 50 yrs to do so.

Sure, Pujols as a triple crown dude, go for it... but he is behind Bonds in MVP... if Bonds played as much as Pujols, or got pitched to, he would have about 58 hrs and I don't know how many RBI's... also a better average.

Um I'm sorry a triple crown is not easy to accomplish so if Pujols does it he's MVP hands down. If he doesn't then the MVP goes to Bonds.

I think he could do it. There still around 18 or so games left to play. He's definately going to have to keep working hard though.

Err... saying that you hate Bonds and are a Cards fan isn't supposed to make you unbiased, as you seem to be saying...

But as a Giants fan and as a huge fan of Bonds, I'll say Pujols will probably get the MVP if he ends the season with more HR than Bonds, regardless of the Triple Crown (but if he wins the Triple Crown, he'll obviously have more HR than Bonds.)

Yes, you can make the argument that Bonds is what makes the Giants a dominant team as opposed to a losing one, and yes, he has more intentional walks than 27 other teams, I think people are just going to look at the raw numbers and say Pujols has better numbers in the three traditional batting statistics. There's just a lot said by being the first in the league, even if there's not a lot of drop-off between 1st and 2nd.
