Favorite bizarre moment from your team

In your viewing experience, what's "that one event" from your team that will always stick with you?

For me, it was one night when the Giants were playing the Expos at AT&T Park (at the time was Pacific Bell Park), though I can't narrow down the specific year. Frank Robinson was coaching the Expos, and Neifi Perez was on the Giants, that's the best I can do. Anyway, we had the bases loaded and less than two outs (Perez is on third). Bonds is batting and pops it up in front of the triangle that is the pitcher, the catcher, and the third baseman. They all get around it and miscommunication lets the ball drop. The third baseman picks it up and tags home, then they all continue discussing their miscommunication.

However, little did they know this was an infield fly, so the batter was automatically out when it was determined it was a fair ball, so tagging home plate did nothing to retire Neifi Perez, who was walking down the line. So as the three fielders were talking, Perez crept into home plate and quickly got his foot in on the plate. Boom, run scored. The fielders were bamboozled, and Frank Robinson storms out of the dugout. You'd think he was going to let hell break loose on the home plate umpire, but instead he chews out his players for not being head's up on what happened.

I'll have to find a video. It was fantastic!

    EDIT: PERFECT!!!

I can't remember who it was but Dave Stewart was pitching coach with the Jays in the late '90s and got into a big fight in the dugout against a pitcher. Maybe someone with a better memory will add more details. It was pretty crazy seeing Stewart and the pitcher being separated.

I think this happened in Boston.

Has to be at Fenway Park when Johnny Damon runs down a ball at the wall in leftcenter and throws to the infield only to have Manny Ramirez dive and cut off the throw.
I don't know if we will ever see something like that again.

Watching the Twins at the dome, you saw a lot. Whether it was outfielders losing the ball or towering pop ups dropping after hitting a speaker.

But watching Prince Fielder chug around for an inside the park home run after Lew Ford lost a high fly ball in the roof has to be up there. I feel confident in saying that will be the only one of those in his career.

I only had to read about a dozen words of your post before knowing what you were talking about. I just love Manny being Manny!

I have a bunch...I'll start with a couple. I guess it doesn't fit the whole "one event" criteria but whatever

            1) Roy Halladay's second start with the Jays one the last day of the '98 season was a no-hitter bid (he ended up throwing 8.2 innings of no-hit ball before Bobby Higginson homered). From the 5th inning on, Dave Stieb, who still has the only no-hitter in Jays history, was in the bullpen cheering against Halladay getting it. Higginson's HR ball landed in the Blue Jay bullpen, and I bet you can guess who caught it off the bounce.

            2) I think it was in the '06 season (might've been '07), but Casey Janssen was facing Ben Francisco, who he roomed with in college. He was so nervous, that he went through the full pitching motion but never actually released the ball, and instead did a bit of a front flip off the mound. I've never seen anything like it.

            3) Frank Catalanotto once missed 2nd base going from 1st to 3rd on a ground rule double. And it wasn't like he cut across the infield...he just legitimately didn't touch it and was too embarrassed to go back or figured no one saw.

Eddie Guardado making a diving catch after a ball hit a speaker is still one of the funniest things I've seen in a game.

Want to see something insane? Look up Eddie's career line against Jim Thome.

How much more bizarre could it be than SID BREAM of all people running his slow *** to score the game-winning run in the 1992 NLCS?

Honestly I've seen that video so many times, and I still can't believe everyone here thinks Bonds' throw was the worst thing people have ever seen. He is in mid-left field, momentum not straight towards him, short-hops it all the way to the catcher... I mean it was close, and we've all seen worse.

                          Just sayin'.
