This HP ump in the Boston/Texas game just blew a call that would've ended the inning...

Edit: Harrison strikes out Ellsbury to end the inning

    3-1 Rangers

Can't believe I had Howie Kendrick on the bench today 2 HRs already and it's only the 5th inning. Especially since I have Kelly Johnson in and he got rained out. The joys of fantasy baseball.

          Them thar fightin' words.

Fantasy comments aren't a problem in the baseball forum anyway. It's only in the game specific football threads where people need to GTFO.

Except I think the Orioles are going to have a better record than the Rays this year.

In fact, I think the Rays are the basement team in that division this year.

I hear you. I love your posts 99.9% of the time, but I'm a fantasy nerd so I had to bust your chops.

Wow that was a bomb by Cruz, that'll do it for Buch. Watching on TBS and Eckersley always has the best baseball lingo, one of my favorite color guys. Did a great job filling in for Remy last year on the Sox broadcasts.

Also Dennis Reyes makes Joba the Hutt look like Arroyo.

I hear ya, I started running leagues when stats still had to be taken out of the Monday paper. Pretty sure I was the only middle-schooler that had any idea how a spreadsheet worked. Out-nerd that.

I think he is serious. I feel the same way.

Their offense lost a lot by losing Crawford. When I look at their lineup, Longoria is the only threat that I see. Their bullpen took a hit by losing Balfour and Soriano. I really don't think their Staff is all that great. Price is good but I think he's a bit overrated and Shields isn't the same pitcher he was two, three years ago. They have depth but their not that outstanding.

With that said, the Orioles made some nice moves in the offseason. Their offense is much improved and the pitching staff showed promise during the second half last year. With Buck behind the wheel, I think they could do something special.

Why do pitchers ever throw Alfonso Soriano a hittable pitch? Sori blasts a 1st pitch fastball for the Cubs first HR and a 4-3 lead.

Cards notch their first win of the season, 2-0 over SD.

2 triples for Starlin Castro today!

I cannot believe Dennys Reyes has played for 11 different teams in the past 13 seasons.

I bet I know how he got that first name too.

Great to see Jaime Garcia with a great outing to start the season, had a pretty rough spring.

                                Garcia - 9 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 9 K

Cards win 2-0 to avoid the sweep, now for a 10 game west coast road trip
