Best defensive plays of 2011 - (a work in progress)

Since my Rays suck, this is all I have to be proud of thus far this season:

A tip of the cap to Mr. Fuld for that amazing effort right there.

Feel free to add amazing defensive plays all season as the year progresses.

Couldn't find any youtube videos, but 2 very good plays by Coghlan in CF had a few other good ones but I like these the most so far.

Jack Wilson's play against the Rangers has been compared to Mark Buerley's last year, by the Baseball Tonight people, may be the best play anyone makes all year. I think I may be a little bias, but I think it diserves recognition.

Not anywhere close to Buerhle's play last year. I remember they tried to compare it, but they were joking as it also wasn't even their #1 web gem for that day.

Yes it was their #1 web gem of the day, I remember seeing that show. That triple play won the gem of the week, but only cause it was a triple play. And they each said that Jack Wilson's play could be the gem of the year, and the fans don't realize how difficult of a play it was. Because I guess their nominating a web gem each day to see if it surpasses the prvious web gem of the year, as voted on by the fans, and the triple play won, even though it wasn't all thathard of a play, and the fielder didn't even know enough to throw to 2nd at first.

It's a nice play, but nowhere near the Buerhle play.

Fuld's catch was the #1 play of the week so I fail to see how Wilson's play will be the play of the year.

That's not close to Buehrle's play. Like, nowhere near it. Not even similar in any way.

                    And it's bias-ED.

I may be a little biased here, but I think Shane Victorino's catch on the run yesterday was better than Buerhle's last year.

I think that ground ball a couple days ago that Pedroia fielded was great, but the throw was even better. It was a laser right at the first base dude's head, and he still caught it! Play of the year right there, way better than Victorino or Wilson.

I'm probably being a homer but I loved the Indians triple play so far. Haven't been overly impressed with the top plays so far.

Except for maybe the (I think it was) Rays right fielder's catch against the White Sox
