Yuck. That's just what we needed after getting swept by Washington. Why can't we play the Pirates again?

Looks like all the Sox needed to get out of their slow start was the Blue Jays UGH!

The Jays just had no chance today and Romero clearly didn't have his A-Game going. I'm not looking forward to seeing the Yankees come to town

Not only that, but the Phillies offense is sputtering and Marcum has been doing well.

Doesn't bode well for the Phillies tonight. But then you guys have to face Halladay and Lee back to back - coming off 2 complete games with a combined WHIP of 0.667 in those 2 games.

I've been keeping track of Marcum and i'm glad to see he's doing as well as he has. It looks like my prediction of 15 wins for him when he first got traded may come to fruition.

3 vs the Nats and 3 big ones vs the Reds.

Crossing my fingers for someone other than Ryan Franklin entering the game for the next save opp.

Yea...this would be the game to win if the Brewers are not going to get swept.

FYI - Ryan Howard is 2/3 against Marcum, those 2 hits being round trippers. Jimmy Rollins also has 7 ABs and 3 hits against Marcum. Ibanez is slugging 47% against Marcum in 17 ABs, and Polanco is 3/6.

This may be Milwaukee's best matchup for their lineup, but something has got to give here.

Motte had the role a couple years ago, didn't he?

Had problems throwing strikes though, if I recall....

Motte has got a few chances to close, can't recall if he ever had the role officially though, but yeah he had some struggles.

Boggs or Sanchez are the two I'd like to see get a shot at closing, but I don't think Tony would give Sanchez that kind of job this early in his career, Boggs I do want to see get a chance though.

Good for Dice-K getting that first win and looking strong in doing it. He is going to have to keep playing like this for Sox fans to love him again though

Both Utley and Lidge will travel with the team for the road trip after the Brewers series.. which is encouraging. Utley has been running bases

Heard Tony presser yesterday, and he's going to stay with Franklin a little while longer..So that's blown saves already in the book if he comes in, hopefully We'll be up more then 3 by the time the 9th comes and don't have to see him.

Say what you want about the 10-game losing streak last year, but in my opinion it was the Cubs that had the most profound effect on the NL West last season. I believe we lost 3 games against them. Would be nice to take the series but the Padres are about as random as any other team when it comes to offense.
