CC, Felix, Jon Lester, Weaver, Verlander. There's five right off the top of my head I'd put above Scherzer.

I would add David Price to that list.

I'll still take Lester, CC, Price, Verlander, Cahill, King Felix, Weaver, Haren and some other guys I can't think of ahead of him.

Yeah, there are other guys I'd put ahead of Scherzer as well, those were just the first five that popped into my head.

I understand that, I'm not saying I'm about to take him over Felix for the next couple years. I just mean that over his last 30 starts or so, he's looked as good as just about anybody and has been just as dominant as anybody. I think he's got a real good chance of putting up similar numbers to Verlander, Price, Sabathia, etc. at the end of this season.

Looking at Lesters 2010 season, and even with Scherzer's bad first two months, they finished with nearly the same numbers. 3.25 ERA to 3.50, and an identical whip. Same with Sabathia although he logged 35 more innings. His name is definitely in the conversation, his numbers prove that.

Oh yeah I understand. I looked at your list and the first one that came to mind extra was Price. I didn't even think of all of the other ones that have since been mentioned.

Anyways Tigers 3 outs from sweeping Chicago. Scherzer went 8 scoreless and is about to improve to 4-0 this year. Tigers are rolling but Chicago is also just playing horribly. Outscored 21-3 over the series
