Well I was dead wrong in thinking that the 4 game series wouldn't end up in a sweep for either team. Bastardo got a 1 pitch save

If the Padres do make a run towards a respectable record, it's because the young guns (Rizzo, Simon Castro, maybe Cedric Hunter since I know he's a good hitter, but his knock is the lack of speed and pop.) stepped up after being called up mid-season. I didn't think the team would be this bad offensively considering that they have a better 2B, SS, and CF.

You could attribute the sweep to the Padres offense being bad just as much as you could attribute it to the Phillies pitching being good.

I have to give it to Westbrook, if you told me before the game he would go 6 scoreless against the Reds I would have laughed at you.

Nice to see him finally put a great start together, another great outing from the bullpen.

Salas and Sanchez both belong, it will be interesting to see what happens once Augenstein and Tallet are supposed to come back from the DL eventually.

Yeah that's what I was saying - that it was a mixture of both equally in my opinion. I didn't word it all that well
