It's a shame Hallday gets the L after tonight.

Should give it to our defense. Terrible.

It's a shame JJ got a L in the perfect game last year it happens what else did you expect with the 2 best pitchers in the MLB someone had to lose lol. Don't see how it's the defense, Rollins had an error and you had a terrible catcher who doesn't even count lol

So this David Cooper guy for the Toronto Blue Jays. He just had a walk-off sac-fly tonight. So far I have seen four of his at-bats. One tonight and three in the no-hitter Saturday. Everytime he popped up on a fastball up and in on the hands. Everyone of those at-bats looked the same.

I can't link it directly from MLB.com, but if you want a good laugh check out Nick Punto's "triple" from this game - one of several gifts the Cubs defense gave the Cards today.

You don't see this everyday... Mike Pelfrey gets a 2-2 count on Dexter Fowler in the Mets at Rockies game with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th... RAIN DELAY... Mike Pelfrey gets replaced by Jason Isringhausen, which is normally what managers do if a rain delay goes on for a bit (this one was 50 minutes or so)... Fowler fouls off the first pitch and it hits his back leg's knee and he ends up getting pinch hit for due to the injury. Ryan Spillborgs (sp) comes in to pinch hit and works a walk... Mets are up 4-3, with an Ike Davis 2-run single and Pelfrey 2-run double leading to their runs while the Rockies got solo home runs from Troy Tulowitski (9th overall, 5th against Mets), Seth Smith and Carlos Gonzalez.

Rockies' Felipe Paulino now pitching to Mets' Ronny Paulino (no relation) - Felipe walks Ronny after full count

Announcers stated who would be batting for Rockies in 9th and Ian Stewart is 3rd up... announcers also mentioned that Giambi in all likelihood will be batting at some point in the 9th ... my money's on him PHing for Stewart

                R. Paulino erased on front end of 3-6-3 double play with nice glove work from Todd Helton, F. Paulino almost ran him over on the return throw though... could've been disastrous

Why is Felipe Paulino in the game?

It is virtually impossible to win a game when you issue 11 walks to your opponents.

I'm not that familiar with him but probably because of the rain delay

and here comes K-Rod... just got Seth Smith to ground out... Chris Iannetta now up and probably Giambi pinch hitting for Stewart but Stewart is on deck right now

Ian Stewart BETTER not be batting after Iannetta.

.064 average? Should have been refused entrance into the ballpark with that garbage.

K-Rod strikes out Iannetta and here comes Jason Giambi who is in a slump of his own 0 for 15 (1 for 9 with 5 strikeouts career vs K-Rod)... now down to final strike

Giambi grounds out into shift to end game... Mets are now 3-8 in 1 run games as K-Rod picks up his 10th consecutive save

Tracy needs to do a lineup shuffle to get things going again.

                            Herrera
                            Smith
                            Cargo
                            Tulo
                            Helton

The rest can be picked out of a bag

Just saying I have no confidence in him with down a run

That's definitely a hole in his swing which he'll have to fix if he wants to be a good hitter in the Big Leagues though to his credit he did hit a HR last night. I'm pretty sure this hole in his swing is not a very difficult one to correct and hopefully Dwayne Murphy is working with him. Cooper did say after the game that he was aiming to just hit it to the OF so Davis could score so he wasn't necessarily looking for a base hit.

Anyways, the Jays can't catch much of a break. They beat the Sox but now Escobar is day to day after getting hit by a pitch. Hopefully Adam Lind won't have to go on the DL as he's suffering from back tightness/spasms. I did like how they battled back last night after a rough three games prior to this.
