If he continues this current pace, certainly.
My expectations for him this season were tempered. I was expecting a bit of a dropoff from last year, but for him to still be a solid hitter maybe putting up 30 hrs and 100+ RBI. I certainly wasn't expecting him to become an even more dangerous hitter. Right now his plate coverage is off the charts, and his consistency at the plate has been incredible. Probably the most dangerous hitter in the league right now.
As I type this Bautista crushes number fifteen. Ridiculous. -

Some people actually saw jose's stats ready to get high after the 2009 season. Jose Bautista is just a monster!
I tell ya, if the Jays were to ever be on SNB or Fox Saturday baseball the world would see just how great of a player he is. He's not just a HR guy, he's all around the best PERIOD.
Carlos Guillen is a really good hitter but he doesn't have the defense that Bautista provides. There's seemingly little to no hole in Bautista's game. The only thing you could argue a bit is his baserunning at times but more often then not he's quite solid running the bases as well.
