    5/23 - 5/29 Game Discussion Thread

Well that was an interesting week for the Jays....

They play the Yanks for 3 games in the Bronx starting today and then go back home to take on the Chi-Sox for 4. Carlos Villanueva gets his first start in a Jays uniform as Jesse Litsch is on the DL with some kind of arm ailment. (seems that guy always has arm issues of one kind or another) It's going to be interesting to see if more teams take the approach of the Rays and Astros and start intentionally walking Bautista in big situations now.

Here's to hoping for at least 4 wins this week.

Tribe Time! This would be the 15th comeback win this season. Unreal.

Great win for the Jays but if I were a Yankees fan i'd have yelled at the TV with some of the boneheaded decisions Girardi made tonight. Intentionally walking Juan Rivera? MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

At least the Jays made em pay for walking Bautista

He has a hard on for needless IBB's and sac bunts. He seriously called for Curtis Granderson to bunt yesterday with 2 men on in the 7th inning when they were up by 2. The same Curtis Granderson who is 2nd in the league in home runs.

Justice is served. Last year the Rays intentionally walked Miguel Cabrera 2342 times, and the Tigers never made them pay for it. They did that tonight to load the bases, and Victor Martinez came through to drive in two runs and seal the victory.

Bout Time Pujols.. Not that I'm complaining.

And of all places he hits a HR in San Diego.

LF ain't too bad. He did get PETCO'd twice so far with one deep to center. Could've been a 3 HR game at Busch in my opinion.

I forgot to change my fantasy lineups today, and Hart was left on the bench in favor of Jason Heyward (currently on the DL)

Shows you how bad Pujols is struggling this year, Pads pitch to him (and K him) then intentionally walk Berkman.

Granted Berkman is on fire this year but never thought I'd see the day Albert got pitched to in a late game situation like this only for the next batter to get the intentional pass.

Heath Bell with a Hoffman-like 9th inning tie-game blow up. Oh well.

Well with him possibly being a closer option for the Cards come the trade deadline maybe he was just showing that he would be a good fit.

Really though they showed his career stats against the Cardinals and we hit him hard for whatever reason, hes 0-2 career, 12.1 IP, 8.02 ERA, with 11 ER allowed. (Stats prior to tonight). The only teams he has a higher ERA against are the Blue Jays and Tigers and he only has 2 appearances against each of them.
