Just because I'm bored I looked it up for the rest of the season. Assuming ESPN's game times are correct, there are only two day games on a Tuesday or Friday the rest of the season (Other than the Cubs). Blue Jays/Phillies and Rays/Red Sox.

The Cubs exception is pretty much what I was referring to.

But thanks to you and Chaos for the extra info.

Looks like Pujols is playing 3rd again - http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=6612355

Know what would be really cool? If the Cubs don't lose back to back series to the Pirates and Astros.

Because I am loyal customer Directv, gave me Show Time for $4 more a moth, and they gave me the MLB package for free. The Show time is for only three months. Then I have to cancel it, but I keep the MLB package. So I scored big time. Love having all these games!!

I am happy for you, Scott, but this type of stuff from Direct TV ticks me off. I came back to them last year after 3 years of cable (couldn't get dish reception where I lived). When I came back, the rep told me I would get MLB EI for free as a gift for coming back. Great...I was stoked. Then I get charged for it and their response was "We NEVER give that for free so the rep was mistake." I had nothing in writing and they said the recording was gone, so I had no recourse.

Good to know I will call them tomorrow. I don't want to be charged. Thanks again. I got an email talking about it, but nothing in writing.

What is Fredi doing sitting here watching the freaking Padres rip us while he leaves Gearin in?

Don't worry. Surely Sherrill will stop the bleeding.

And does even matter anyways? 2 runs is about all this offense can muster these days..

Cubs and Cards make parallel comebacks within about 5 minutes of each other each coming from 1 run down in the 8th to first tie and then take the lead.

They're both at home too, so it's up to the closers...

Cubs get some insurance and the Cards are pushing for an extra run as well....lol, this sequence of events is pretty interesting to watch.

Edit: Not quite parallel...the Cards comeback was from 3 runs down, I only caught the last one scoring.

Giants gave that game away! That sucked.

Cards win and Marmol just served up 3 hits and 2 RBI to Houston. Tie game at Wrigley again, and the go ahead run is at 2nd with no outs.

Edit: It got worse. Oh so very much worse.

David Cone is the best announcer in baseball.

Don't know of many others (if any) that reference Fangraphs, UZR, wOBA, multiple times in a game.

The other night he had me cracking up...there was a trivia question and one of the answers was Chief Bender (a HOF pitcher from the early 1900's). Cone had never heard of him and said "Is that his real name? That sounds more like a night out with David Wells than a baseball player."
