Marlins fire their hitting coach, eh?

Hopefully he won't be the only hitting coach fired in Miami this week..

I hope he isn't as terrible as a hitting coach as he is as an analyst. Wait, yes I do.

Heh I thought he was a good analyst, seemed smart. He can't exactly ruin the team, cause it's already been terrible at hitting especially with RISP and Hanley being terrible.

It's also called Tony Perez is an executive for the Marlins

I never minded him on baseball tonight, but he's a career .247 hitter. Now, it's certainly possible to be a better instructor for others than demonstrator with your own abilities, but this catches me by surprise a bit.

So is it just me or does it seem eerily quite for a Yankees/Red Sox series being played this week. No one talking about it, etc. Now, I don't watch ESPN (EI or MLBNetwork is what I watch) so maybe they are really hyping it, but I swear if I didn't know the schedule you wouldn't know they were playing.

Indeed, but hey a lot of coaches are like that. Turns out our former hitting coach never made it to the majors and was like a career .200 hitter in the minors soo .247 career in the majors is a step up in that regards lmao

Yeah it has really been quiet. I think it's maybe because there are more compelling storylines in the sports world right now.

Eduardo Perez has one of the most annoying voices I have ever heard... Is like he has mash Potato in his throat or some ish.

                    (Maybe is just me)

The whole Ortiz/Girardi bat-flip thing is really the only thing they're talking about, aside from the fact the Sox are beating the Yankees around right now.

I think it has to do with the series being so lopsided, thus there is no real generation for hype or story-lines.

That, and even as a Sawx fan, I get annoyed with the over-hype they do so early in the year... so I kinda enjoy the "silent" victories.

Oakland A's manager Bob Geren has just been fired with Bob Melvin being named the interim skipper. I kinda thought that would happen as Geren doesn't suit me as the kind of guy to lead a team to great heights. You can't really blame him though as the A's have very little offensive firepower anyways.
