Cards get to run the gauntlet w/ no Pujols.

Just a reminder of some of the recent hallmark Phillies defeats over STL.

2008: Phils win 20-2 in STL.

2009: Phils win 14-6 vs STL.
Just a reminder we're 2-0 against you this year with a healthy team, odds are you'll likely be able to beat us with our top player out and the top of your rotation coming around. Jake Westbrook has already out dueled Cliff Lee once, and Jaime Garcia has done the same to Roy Oswalt.

Doubtful it'll go as well this time, but beating us with Pujols bat on the DL isn't the best way to gauge how a potential playoff matchup could go.

But the bigger news is that Adrian Gonzalez may play RF in a few games on the up-coming nine game NL road trip in order to keep he and Ortiz both in the line-up. That'd be...interesting.

So are now 14-2 over the last 16 games, and have scored 10 or more runs in 5 of the last 9.
That inning was frustrating. Scribner and Frieri may be good, but it would've been nice to have Gregerson available for that 7th inning.

Adrian's got a good glove, but I'm surprised they're not considered LF since he is slow as molasses. However it makes sense for them to keep both player's bats in the lineup.

Hopefully Latos can rebound from an average start.

They said they're considering RF because there are shorter rights than lefts in the upcoming parks

We always have this debate over which league is better during IL play. Must we do it again this year?

No, we can finally all agree that the AL is much better and the NL should adopt the DH.
